Rio Macho Lodge is a large property with one lodge/motel and a second home with guest rooms. Located just off the trail this is a dependable and nice option as they have many rooms available on the property. The owner, Don Gerardo, is a very nice man who’s extremely handy (if you have something in need of repair, show it to him). His dog, Thor, is big but a sweetheart.
Laundry is available here for $10
If you’re in need of a massage, they work with a local masseuse who offers a 30 minute massage for $20, or an hour for $40.

Big place, good for groups
This is a large place that good for accommodating groups. Many guide services use Rio Macho. Rooms are simple, clean and comfortable.
