When we first launched the Camino de Costa Rica Anleitung, our goal was simple: list every accommodation along the route. The idea was that more options would mean more freedom, allowing hikers to mix and match stays to create their perfect itinerary.
And for a while, that made sense. But over time, we noticed two things:
- Too many choices created confusion. Hikers were overwhelmed by the sheer number of listings.
- About one third of the accommodations never received a single booking.
So, we’ve decided to simplify.
We’re now focusing on the most popular and frequently used accommodations, the ones that hikers consistently enjoy and recommend. This update will make it easier to plan your route and avoid the decision paralysis that too many options can bring.
That said, some excellent lodges and homestays will no longer appear directly on this website. Rest assured, these places are still welcoming hikers and offering great experiences. If one of them fits naturally into your route, we encourage you to book with them directly.
Our goal remains the same as ever: to make hiking the Camino de Costa Rica as smooth, enjoyable, and well supported as possible.
