Lirio Lodge

Es uno de los primeros alojamientos del sendero. Tienen 11 habitaciones disponibles como individuales, dobles, triples y cuádruples. Starlink está en servicio aquí, y tienen un poco de electricidad (que están funcionando con energía solar). Ofrecen un servicio de transporte en barco, lo que simplifica la logística de camino al inicio del sendero.

En cuanto a las comidas, el almuerzo, la cena y el desayuno están incluidos en la reserva.

Stage 1 of the Camino has alternate starting points, with Lirio Lodge being one of those options. If your first night is at Lirio Lodge then you can ease into your hike by having them drop you off at the estuary trail. From here you can walk to the Caribbean where you’ll find the Camino mojón, touch the ocean and then walk north along the coast, and then at the Pacuare school, follow the path to the Pacuare coast guard and dock, where they can pick you up again and ferry you to the lodge for the night. This is a short 2.5km and pretty walk that allows you to start the adventure officially. Here is a Google Map showing the locations of the above places mentioned.

Most hikers will leave early on departure day. Lirio Lodge will take you by boat back to Muelle Goshen where you can begin your walk. Alternatively, you can leave later in the morning allowing you to participate in their boat tour in the canals, which is included in your reservation.

For activities they offer a guided nature walk, or guests can take their canoes out for a paddle.

From their brochure, translated: Lirio Lodge is located on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, in the south of the Tortuguero National Park, on the shore of the Laguna Madre de Dios, which communicates with the mouth of the Pacuare River. Lirio Lodge is the first and only eco-lodge in the Pacuare bar, the most virgin of the canals of Tortuguero, on the Caribbean coast.
